The Biggest, Most Exciting Thing of My Life

For as long as I can remember I have dreamed of owning my own horse. I was that child, who begged her parents for a pony every Christmas and birthday. And today, I was able to achieve my lifelong dream. I am now a proud horse owner!

I bought Casey, the Thoroughbred mare that I have been working with over the past month. She is everything that I thought that I wanted in a horse, plus more. She is beautiful, sound, very smart, athletic, and has a strong personality. Getting to know her has been a great experience so far. She definitely is in need of some retraining and needs to get more fit, but she is so much fun to ride. She is very much a Thoroughbred (loves running, hates walking), but she also wants to please.

Although I have worked very hard to get myself into a position where I could get a horse, I also had so much luck on my side to be able to this. My trainer owned Casey and just happened to think that we would be a good fit together. She was also very generous and sold Casey to me for a dollar. I am so grateful to my trainer for this opportunity. She literally made my dream come true and I will never be able to repay her for that.
I also am very lucky that my partner is so supportive of this. Owning a horse is a really big commitment. It takes a lot of time and money to own a horse, but Jin knows that this means everything to me and he is completely backing me. Not only is my partner supportive, but my entire family has been great and is very excited to have a horse in the family.
I am as happy as I have ever been and I am so excited to begin my adventure with Casey!
